Ever since its reveal back in E3 2021, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin left an impression on the gaming public both for better and for worse. The game, which reimagines the world of the original Final Fantasy and features action combat similar to that of Nioh, gained attention less so for its enjoyable gameplay loop and more so for its corny, meme-worthy presentation and dialogue. Players everywhere endlessly clowned on protagonist Jack’s edgy lines about wanting to “kill Chaos.” The demo’s initially unplayable state upon launch only made the game even easier to make fun of. But regardless if one thinks the game will turn out an enjoyable time or a complete disaster, they will likely be interested to hear that Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has a new release date of March 18, 2022. And there’s a new demo to try out, too. According to a press release, this new demo, dubbed Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Trial Version 2, will expand upon the first demo that came out during June. The demo will feature “an additional stage” called the Refrin Wetlands, a new party member, new jobs to experiment with, and new enemies to fight. Additionally, the demo will allow players to try out the game’s multiplayer feature for the first time, and it links to a survey that players can fill out to give feedback. Players can experience the new demo until Oct. 11, and the survey will remain available until October 18. The gift that keeps on giving Not everyone will rejoice over the announcement of the release date and the new demo for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, but the news should still excite those genuinely looking forward to it as well as those looking for some new meme material. And judging by the reactions to some of the new scenes in the demo, the game still has quite a few more meme-worthy moments to anticipate.
