Final Fantasy 14 birthday cake that will make you want to eat moogle

It’s been eight years since then Final Fantasy 14 Re-launched as Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn. To celebrate Christmas, Square Enix ordered a cake from celebrity baker Kim-Joy, who you may know from the ninth series of the Great British Bake-Off or its various cookbooks. Which is why PC Gamer is now a website about baked goods. (The computer stands for Great Cake.)

Kim-Joy’s Final Fantasy cake is even more adorable than the kittens and foxes adorned on Bake-Off, and features many of the famous Final Fantasy creatures. It’s a three-tiered lemon sponge with a crumb-covered desert level for iced cookie cactus, a sky blue buttercream level with custard-infused chocobos and custard-infused herbs complete with jelly stones, topped with a fondant-coated muggle. This is clearly the work of a dedicated Final Fantasy fan, and he deserves to shake hands with Paul Hollywood ASAP.
