More game modes

The original PUBG Mobile game featured only one map and three game modes. Erangel was the only map in the original game and the three game modes used several variations of it cleverly. Quick Match used the blue circle to its advantage while the sniper left players with sniper rifles.

Fast forward to today, Battlegrounds Mobile India features 4-5 maps and close to a dozen game modes. You can jump from helicopters, play death matches and even train yourself with all the weapons.

Better graphics

This has mostly happened over the past year. PUBG Mobile debuted with graphics that compared it to older PC games like CS: GO and Call of Duty 2. However, Krafton introduced higher quality textures to the game last year with the High Graphics resource pack, improving the look and feel of the water as well as the lighting. These same improvements have been ported to Battlegrounds Mobile India.

complex menus

A quick trip down the lists of Battlegrounds Mobile India may result in closing the game and looking elsewhere. There are over a hundred menus and thousands of options (figuratively speaking) that one needs to go through before changing the shirt on your character or choosing new gear.

Back when it all started, PUBG Mobile had easier menus to navigate. The options were less and all players had easy access to all the maps as well as the game modes. It was easy to handle all game settings.

Better privacy practices

This was the result of the ban implemented by the Indian government last year. While Tencent’s PUBG Mobile has remained secretive about its intentions, Krafton’s Battlegrounds Mobile India is more transparent about its data preservation practices. Every time Krafton has to transfer your data outside India, it will let you know. The game will now take time to remind you of rest periods between matches.

get away from realism

Battlegrounds Mobile India

This is where we feel the most damage has been done. What separated PUBG Mobile from Fortnite in 2018 was its approach to battle royale in the most authentic and brutal way. The game brought raw realism effects from the PC shooters of that era, which definitely enhanced its appeal among mobile gamers.

Over the years, Krafton began to raise the features from competing shooting games and took the resulting gameplay from that raw realism that PUBG Mobile offered. In Battlegrounds Mobile India, Brutal and realistic traces of blood and corpses give way to fading playersLeaving behind begging leaves that fly. It brought multiple CODM modes inspired by many elements in order to add action. There are helicopters, car racing, emotes, training, and much more extra stuff that many didn’t want. The game focuses on selling more skins and weapons rather than improving the core experience.

These are some of the changes we’ve noticed over the years. Do you have a contribution to this list?
