New content announced in the Minecraft Dungeons Hidden Depths DLC – cute slime and new challenges!

Hidden Depths is the following addition of content to Maine Craft Dungeon, will arrive later this month on May 26. There isn’t much information yet, but here’s everything you need to know about what to expect in this upcoming downloadable content.

There is a watery theme this time, a big change compared to the previous DLC, Flames of the Nether, which was much hotter.

In Hidden Depths, players will venture deep into the biosphere, surrounded by the mobs you all know and love, and some new players as well. Check out the art of starting:

What can you discover? There are skeletons, guardians, and a furious sunken with a trident head and a crown, and some of them are also blue water slimes. These slime are cute and would be great for the full Minecraft game. We can’t spot any squid that glow, though!

In terms of the information in the official announcement, we are not sure which is exactly Brings DLC. As a rough idea, the ad mentions the “spread of corruption” that is polluting the depths of the oceans. These could be some of the exciting new corrupt mobs and more powerful versions of the ocean hordes you already know.

Even without any specific information about what is being added in DLC (we’ll find out more about that in the coming weeks), it has been announced that there will be some free content to be released alongside DLC.

New magic and new levels are introduced with any version of the Minecraft Dungeons DLC, but there’s also something brand new: Raid Captains.

These are basically the super mobs who present a whole new challenge. As stated in the official statement, “They will change the way you play the game.” Raid Captains will find hidden areas throughout the world of Minecraft Dungeons – and hopefully, they’ll be added to previous levels as well as new hidden depths maps.

You will be able to obtain additional treasure and new rewards for defeating the raid leaders. Maybe you will be great copies of many mobs that are already in the game. Giant zombie, anyone?

The Minecraft Dungeons DLC titled Hidden Depths will be released on May 26. If you’ve already purchased the Dungeons Season Pass, you’ll be able to play DLC on Day 1. For those who haven’t, there’s still some free content coming as well.
