In December, Tencent Holdings acquired Leyou and an Amazon spokesperson has now been informed the edge In an e-mail statement stating that the company “has not been able to secure the conditions to pursue this address at the present time.” The company also said that the LOTR project team will be working on other games. “We love Lord of the Rings IP game, and we are disappointed that we will not be offering this game to customers,” said the spokesperson.

Amazon Game Studios was released in 2014 and since then has not been able to release a successful video game. The company previously canceled several other games and some were late.

On the other hand, the next Amazon CEO Andy Gacy said he is committed to the video games division. “I think this team will get there if we continue to focus on the most important things,” Gacy said in an official statement. For the ignorant, Jeff Bezos, the current CEO and founder of Amazon, will step down as CEO later this year.
