The company said, “An unknown actor obtained unauthorized access to our internal network, collected some data belonging to the CD PROJEKT Capital group, and left its contents which we release to the public. Although some devices in our network have been encrypted, our backups remain Saleema. We have already secured the IT infrastructure and have started recovering the data. “

It stated that the hacked systems do not contain any personal information related to those who play the games developed by the company.

As per note, the hacker claims to have source codes for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077, Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, and an unreleased version of The Witcher 3. The hacker said that if the company does not agree, it is clear that the source codes will be sold online or leaked to our “gaming press contacts.” CD Projekt Red has 48 hours to respond.

The company states that it has already contacted relevant authorities, including law enforcement and the head of the Office of Personal Data Protection, as well as forensic IT professionals for the same purpose. They will cooperate closely with these authorities to fully investigate this incident.

To recall, popular game developer Capcom recently suffered from a similar hack. All of his internal documents had already been leaked online.
