PUBG Mobile vs FAUG: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar announced on September 4 last year, in the wake of the PUBG Mobile India ban, that the India-based company nCore will soon launch a new mobile game called FAUG. Shortly after the announcement, the gaming community started claiming that the game would be an Indian competitor to PUBG Mobile. However, soon after, the creator of FAUG dropped the allegations that the game would not be a competitor to the popular battle royale and instead would be an indie mobile game launched under the Indian Prime Minister’s AtmaNirbhar Bharat movement. FAUG vs PUBG Mobile: One has been officially launched and the other is not

PUBG Mobile has been banned by the government along with 114 other Chinese apps under Section 69A of the IT Act. Battle royale is not available for download in this country. FAUG launched again on January 26th and is currently only available on Android on the Google Play Store. FAUG vs PUBG Mobile: System Requirements

RAM: 2 GB RAM minimum (Recommended: 4 GB RAM).

storage: PUBG Mobile requires 610MB of internal space on a smartphone. On the other hand, FAUG only requires 410MB of internal storage space to install.

OS: PUBG Mobile requires iOS 9.0 or higher, and Android unspecified version. FAUG requires Android 4.1 or higher. The company has yet to release the iOS version of the game.

FAUG vs. PUBG Mobile: Game Modes

The main difference prevailing between the games is that FAUG comes with a story mode, while PUBG Mobile only consists of the regular multiplayer combat modes and the battle royale mode. The FAUG story mode follows the Gallowan Incident between India and China. As of now, FAUG does not feature a battle royale mode or a 5v5 mode, however, it will be made available in-game at a later time.

FAUG vs PUBG Mobile: the graphics

PUBG Mobile has a realistic feel with detailed characters, weapons and vehicles, and an extensive gameplay. FAUG tried to achieve the same and was able to take a lot of steps in the right direction. However, it still takes some work to reach PUBG Mobile levels.

PUBG allows players to purchase accessories to spice up their character’s look, while FAUG doesn’t come with such a feature.

PUBG Mobile allows users to design their own playable characters with mix and match features. On the other hand, FAUG has pre-designed playable characters, which can be won or purchased from the in-game store.

PUBG Mobile allows players to purchase accessories to spice up their character’s look, while FAUG doesn’t come with this feature. Battle royale also has buddies and supporting characters, which FAUG then misses again.

FAUG vs PUBG Mobile: weapons

PUBG Mobile is an FPS (first person shooter) game with melee options available. Whereas FAUG is basically a fist fight. There are a few breakable melee weapons that can be used like a serrated bat, ax, and more.

The reason the FAUG does not have any weapons is because there is a bilateral agreement signed between India and China. The agreement stipulates that weapons cannot be used to fight in Wadi Jalwan.

The creators of FAUG stated that they will later add weapons to the game with other game modes and new stories.

FAUG vs. PUBG Mobile: Player Restrictions

PUBG Mobile has multiple modes that have different restrictions on the player. However, the most popular battle royale mode allows up to 100 players to participate simultaneously. On the other hand, FAUG only allowed single-player play so far. The company will add multiplayer modes later.

PUBG Mobile is not currently available in the country and it will take some time for us to see the game come back, and FAUG along with some other games like Free Fire and Fortnite can keep the fortress.

FAUG and PUBG Mobile are two completely different games so far. There will be a fair comparison, however, when nCore Games decides to release their other modes of the game.
