Next week’s mid-season update for Call of Duty: Black Ops – The Cold War Adds a dash of thermonuclear struggle with a new 6v6 multiplayer mode.
He arrives next Thursday, January 14, the first cold war Mid-season update Unveiled alongside patch notes for yesterday’s Call Of Duty patch (which made it famous Warzone’s DMR wasn’t powerful enough). While this update added some neat twists to the existing multiplayer modes, next week sees Treyarch introduce a new mode, Dropkick.
Described as a “battle to control nuclear tokens,” details about Dropkick might actually recede in November. According to these Leaked download screensIn, Dropkick sees two teams releasing control of launch codes and the target of detonating a nuclear bomb.
Fireteam also gets a new sunny map of Sanatorium (pictured above), while Zombies heads out to Jason Statham with their new variant, Cranked. Here, every brawler who kills adds precious seconds to a timer that will kill you dead when it reaches zero. PlayStation-exclusive Onslaught Mode from Cold War also gets a new map, Raid. Looking forward to finally checking this out on PC in 11 months, I guess?
