How to get Fortnite Walking Dead skins
More Fortnite Season 5 evidence
Fortnite Season 5 really takes everything “hunters” in every sense of the word. We started with the Amazon Warriors, Kratos from God of War, and even Master Chief made Warthog his way into battle. But Epic is not satisfied with devouring every video game franchise. No, they are also coming for your TV.
Zombie Slaughter from The Walking Dead appears Daryl Dixon and Michonne in the Item Shop next week. They look exactly like the personification of their shows, Norman Reedus from Death Stranding and Danai Gurira from Black Panther.
The trailer shows Daryl and Michonne fending off a horde of zombies, until Jonesy falls through a portal on a zombie, catches the pair and escapes with them through another portal into the Fortnite world. You know, given how much of a draw Georgia zombie would be in, I probably would have done the same thing no questions asked.
If you live under a rock, Daryl and Michonne have become two of the most iconic characters in The Walking Dead since the comic and the show rose to fame. You won’t find Daryl in the comics, but Reedus’ blunt portrayal and star power helped cement him as a fan favorite and ultimately a central character on the show. Michonne is introduced late in Season Two, and has one heck of a katana.
Judging from the trailer, it looks like Michon’s harvesting tool will be a katana, while Daryl will have his hunting knives. Personally, I like to put Daryl’s bow in the game.
When will the Fortnite Walking Dead skins come to the Item Shop?
Epic announced that Daryl Dixon and Michonne Walking Dead skins will arrive on the Fortnite Item Store on Wednesday, December 16.
Epic ad wording indicates that it will be available as part of a batch, but it usually also tends to offer these as individual cosmetics. So whatever tickles your imagination, there must be a choice for you.
However, Epic has not announced any actual price point for any character or group. Kratos was offered a pack for 2,200 V-bucks, at least for a day or so, so I was expecting the same when Daryl and Michonne enter town.
