What time does Galactus happen in Fortnite?
Update: The Fortnite Galactus event is over, but you can watch it in Ninja VOD above.
Original story: Fortnite The Galactus event is about to end, and as a result Fortnite Season 4 is almost over. The planet-sized Marvel villain has been heading towards Fortnite Island since the start of the season when Thor, Iron Man, and the rest of the crew arrived for a battle with Jonesy and Peely. Fans have been wondering what such a massive threat could bring to Fortnite for months, and Epic is almost ready to show us. But when will the Galactus event be in Fortnite?
We have the evidence you need for the Galactus event (officially known as the Ultimate Nexus War), including event time, known leaks, and more.
When did Galactus happen?
The Fortnite Galactus Event kicks off Tuesday, Dec.1 at 4 PM ET / 1 PM PDT.
How to watch the Galactus event in Fortnite
Like previous events, you’ll want to log into Fortnite before the event to make sure you’re able to log into the server. In previous years, a lot of players had trouble participating in events and were unfortunately absent due to server blockages and Epic technical issues.
So exactly when should you attend the Galactus event? It says Epic to sign in about 60 minutes early, then search for the playlist to update itself 30 minutes before the event. Then you’ll want to select the Galactus event and wait for the show to begin.
Epic also says that you should make sure to download update 14.60. That was a while ago so if you’ve been playing lately, you should be fine. You can find a countdown timer for the Fortnite event in the Fortnite main menu right behind the party.
If for any reason you can’t get in, just refer to Twitch and piggyback on a streaming device. It’s not perfect, but it will.
Galactus event leak: what we know so far
We’ve been watching Galactus approach Fortnite Island for weeks, so it’s no surprise that he’s playing a role in the Galactus event.
Originally, Galactus appeared high in the sky, and could be seen by all players if you know where to look.
Now, Galactus appears to be piercing the planet’s horizon itself. His helmet horns are now visible to the west.
A number of data miners have revealed some leaks that supposedly indicate what we can expect from the Galactus event.
As you can see on the map, the galactus is located right above the rubble area. pic.twitter.com/kiWFFAxubjNovember 3, 2020
Added physical instance of Season 9 Zero Point Card to files. Fun fact: It’s based on the energy field that Vault’s Runic Keys used from Season 8. .com / UbctClvDfANovember 25, 2020
A grid has been added at 14.60 for a closed Quinn Jet, which is not the low-resolution one you see in the air at the start of the match, and I think it will be used during the event. Last but not least, the official Fortnite account tweeted this.
You know how to drive the Battle Bus .. right? Join the fight at 12.1.20 4 PM ET pic.twitter.com/8K380f03P1November 28, 2020
Looks like we might be driving (flying?) Either the Battle Bus or some other aerial vehicle to fight Galactus. Only time will tell. We also know that Galactus is clearly targeting “Ground Zero,” which was indicated in the fake comedy that started Season 4.
